Full Moon Harvest Party in the Barnyard!
A Hickories Tradition: What better way to celebrate the coming of the frost and the shortening of the days than with a big outdoor party by fire-light!
Join us for a kids-of-all-ages pumpkin carving 5pm-6pm. Your ticket includes a pumpkin to carve and light to celebrate the season and decorate our full-moon gathering!
Then, fires will light and food will flow forth! Stay for the moonrise (fingers crossed no clouds) and a warm gathering around a harvest fires and food between 6pm-8pm.
Fire and Farm-Food have two new best friends in Fairfield County. Here to make a surprise chef appearance...
Matt Stanczak and Dan Sabia!
Matt Stanczak ("Stanziatos Pizza" 1st founder and chef) and Dan Sabia ("Jesup Hall" and now "Wood Fire Food") will be here to celebrate the lunar calendar with open-fire cooking and wood-fired bliss. In my opinion, these two chefs are the best new foot forward this local food movement has to offer right now. They will be offering an assortment of small bites/soups/flatbreads a la carte for their guests - sure to make you jump for locavore joy!
A few things to note:
- The cost of the ticket to reserve your place at the fireside covers the carving pumpkin, supplies, and candles.
- Food can be purchased from Matt and Dan's a la carte menu
- This event is weather permitting so please check your email and the farm's website for day of updates/cancellations. It's a full moon party, so there is no rain date.
- Parking is about a 500 yard distance from the barnyard, so please prepare by wearing warm/comfortable shoes and dropping anyone off at the Main Barn before proceeding to the parking lot down the road.
