In the share this week is purslane, a wild friend which often is overlooked. I was once at a farmers conference and a grower was talking about listening to what our land says our community needs. If our land is supplying us with an abundance of something-- it is the food that our community is in need of. Now this may sound a bit silly, as purslane is often regarded as a weed. But purslane contains a high amount of omega 3 fatty acids, a-linolenic acid, and vitamin A. The flavor of purslane is slightly lemony and has a succulent texture which adds a nice crunch to whatever you are eating.

-Dry Tropea Onion- short storage onion so can hold for a month or so.
-Radish OR Turnip (members choice)
-Shoot (Pea or sunflower) great addition to sandwiches!
