By this point in August we all have a lot on our plates. It is often times hard to find the balance of maintaining our summer crops, keeping them harvest and keep an eye on the encroaching cool weather to keep up with fall planting. This year, feels however much more manageable then last. The heavy downpours of last year that lasted, (as I remember) the whole month of August by this time of the year we all were feeling very beat down.
Even as their year has had its own sets of challanges I am more optimistic! Thank you to our CSA members who offer us so much support to us farmers. Your kind words, gifts of popsicles on hot days, and the smiles if the kids grabbing at a bunch of carrots exited to eat-- it makes our day.
