The farm is a hive of activity on CSA days as many hands harvest, haul, wash and pack the abundant crop of summer vegetables that will be in your share this week! We are so excited to have you all apart of our community and share in this harvest with us.
A few quick notes about your first pickup day:
- Bring a reusable bag
- Check your name off when you collect your share
- Leave even the friendliest dogs at home.
In this week's share:
- Buttercrunch lettuce
- Carrots (Super sweet!)
- Spinach/Tatsoi Blend
- Spring Garlic
- Cilantro or Chives
- Kale- Siberian
- Jar of Red Salsa
Siberian kale is a great addition to soups, stir fry or to make into kale chips. If sautéing the kale a great topping is our chive blossom vinaigrette to the pan to give your kale some great flavor.
For best storage of carrots, remove the tops once you get home. The tops can turned into a pesto. If the tops remain intact they will remove moisture from the roots and dry them out quicker.
