Our asparagus makes its 2019 CSA debut this week!
Yet another spring highlight, green garlic is simply young garlic that hasn’t developed a bulb (sometimes it’s okay to be immature!) Aside from maybe your peanut butter sandwiches, green garlic can be used almost anywhere. Use it wherever you’d use regular bulb garlic or green onions, or in recipes specifically designed to highlight its unique mild garlic flavor such as those offered on the popular Food52 website.
In this week's share:
· Mustard Greens
· Green Garlic
· Tatsoi/ Beet greens blend. Tatsoi has some holes but is still fantastic flavor. Look past its flaw and enjoy as a brazing mix.
· Salad Mix
· Potted Tomato Seedling
· Potted Basil Seedling
What’s Happening on the Farm?
Our Seedling sale is now under way from Broccoli to Tomatoes. While your share includes a Sungold cherry tomato and a potted basil plant we also have a number of other seedlings for sale! We will be adding weekly to what is available so check back or as a farmer if you don't see something you are looking for!
