Autumn is officially here with these cool mornings, changing leaves and shifting light. Just a reminder for our members, this is the off week in-between our summer and autumn CSA shares, so there is no pick up this week. As we looking forward to the weeks to come, excited about our autumnal bounty; did you know that the terms Autumn and Fall developed around the same time, and before then it was called Harvest. Which from an agrarian standpoint it makes a lot of sense.
It is a magical time of year around the farm. Until the first frost we are harvesting our summer crops and beginning to enjoy our cooler weather crops.
In the farm store this weekend you will find...
-Peppers! Sweet frying peppers, Shishitos, Poblanos and hot peppers.
-Fresh green beans
-Dry Black beans just harvested and cleaned!
-Greens: Arugula, Salad mix, Pea shoots, Kale, Chard, Dandalion Greens
-French Breakfast radishes
-Our 2019 Marinara and Red Salsa
- J's homemade elderberry syrup to help boost your families immune system
