Yes you can! Finally a pizza that you can make at home that will wow your taste buds! At PIY (Pizza-It-Yourself), their mission is to re-imagine pizza and turn it into an experience that everyone will remember. They provide all the ingredients to make pizza at home, pre-portioned using fresh, clean ingredients including toppings from the Hickories! Their signature dough is cold fermented for at least 24 hours (and continues to slowly cold-ferment in your fridge and actually gets better with age, day 2-5 are prime days). Cold fermentation is the process whereby yeast digests sugar and produces carbon dioxide gas very slowly, similar to how champagne gets bubbles. Proper cold fermentation techniques produce light, airy structure and distinctively complex flavors that only comes with time; it is unlike any pizza you have had! The ingredients are fresh in your fridge for up to 6 days.
Pizza enthusiasts will also learn the proper dough stretching techniques and use professional oven tools that will convert any home oven into a pizzeria. Our pro tools, a pizza steel (not a stone) and a pizza peel (a wooden paddle to get the pizza in and out of the oven) will make your home the best pizza place in town. The equipment will be picked up from the Farm Store.
